 The HKU Faculty of Dentistry took to the streets of Hong Kong in 2007 as part of its public outreach programme to educate members of the general public about oral health care and about the Faculty's important role in Hong Kong and the region.
The HKU Students’ Union Dental Society, together with the Hong Kong Dental Association, held a 2-day public education event in the shopping arcade of Olympian City, Kowloon, on 6 and 7 October 2007. Photo coverage is available here.
The HKU Students’ Union Dental Society and the HKU Dental Alumni Association, together with the Hong Kong Dental Association, held a 2-day Annual Oral Health Exhibition of the Dental Public Health Committee of the HKU Students’ Union Dental Society in the shopping arcade of Olympian City, Kowloon, on 27 and 28 October 2007.
Faculty Open Days 2007
 The HKU Faculty of Dentistry will hold Open Days at the Prince Philip Dental Hospital on 11 and 12 November 2007 to showcase its achievements and activities, and to give an introduction about the dental profession in Hong Kong and about training at the Faculty.
 Please e-mail Prof Tak-wah Chow, Associate Dean for External Relations, at twchow@hkusua.hku.hk, to make special arrangements to meet faculty staff and students or to arrange school-group visits to the Faculty.

Public Lectures
Prof Bakr Rabie and Dr Ricky Wong gave a public lecture on their research, titled "Grapefruit forms bone?", at the Hong Kong Science Museum, 2 December 2006.
In addition, a series of public lectures was given on 16 November 2007 at the HKU Faculty of Dentistry at the Prince Philip Dental hospital.
